Sparkle Run

Back in May Carter did the 1 mile Sparkle Run in Ankeny.  He tried so hard and did such an awesome job, we were so proud of him.  He has the black shirt and red shorts on.  In the beginning he kept up with all the big kids, then you could tell he was hurting and I think if I said he could just call it good he would have.  Then he had an extra boost of energy and finished strong.  We were so proud of him! I sure wish I could run as fast as they can!

Hello... Hello.....

Yikes!  This is the longest I've ever gone without blogging.  It's been hectic around here, I've been lazy, I don't know!  I just uploaded the pic off my camera, so we will see what all makes it to this little, old blog.  We had a super busy weekend!  We both took Friday off to clean and get ready for Olivia's 3rd bday party, which ended up being quite busy between activities for the boys and other errands.  Saturday was JAM PACKED!  We started the day early by doing the Iowa Games Mud run, then the boys had their last baseball game of the season.  Followed by a bday party with Olivia's little friends in the neighborhood and finished the night with her family party.  Needless to say, I slept really well last night.

Alec did the Muddy Buddy race and Keith, the boys and I did the 1 mile mud run.

Dylan loved it, Carter was not a fan.  I am super out of shape and felt like we must have entered the 3 mile. Yikes!

Overall, I would say it was a fun little race to do with the kids!  And there was one obstacle where you had to army crawl under ropes.

Tball

We had our last Tball game on Saturday.  Overall, the season went really well.  We have come so far since our first game when they were 4 (which I still think is way to young for tball).  I forgot why it was so rough that first season, then I saw a picture and Carter would not wear his cleats, t-shirt or hat.  And that was just part of the struggle!  I would have to say this year was uneventful and went really well.  Keith coached with our neighbor John and the boys enjoyed having Tristan on our team.  Next year they will play coach-pitch, which I think will be fun for the boys.

And here's to their biggest fan!  This girl does a great job watching all their games. And luckily for T-ball, she got to have one of her best friends hanging out with her.

They consumed MANY snacks this season!
